If you want to use AI to help you write ad copy. But you’ve heard scary things like don’t use AI because it’s really generic, the writing is bland, people will not even hear your voice in it and it will basically just suck. Well, this episode is for you because I outline for you exactly how you can use I use ChatGPT. You can use whatever you feel like to write copy, or hooks in this case but you can apply this to sales pages or emails. The point is is that you can get copy that sounds like you and that actually converts your leads into sales or people who are not yet involved with your business into leads. This is my step-by-step process that I outlined for a client, and you can take the same process and apply it like right now, let’s say within the next day, in your business and it can help you make good copy. And I highly encourage you to click down in the show notes below so you can see this episode in the actual language that I was putting on the chat GPT prompts so that you have a better chance of replicating what I’ve done, so that you can get the same success that I’ve had and the client who I was advising had. I hope you enjoy it. I will outline for you a way to leverage AI when you are needing more ideas to test hooks or ad copy or anything. In this case, I’ll apply it to using AI to help us generate some hooks that make sense with this current ad copy, and then you can do it yourself, and then continue to do it anytime you need to create anything that’s written. Ai is great, but unless you ask it questions in the right way, it will give you like very generic responses, and the more info you give it, the better, and you can always modify this process to get even better results. But you can use this for whatever you know creating graphics, ad copy updating. You know writing emails? Okay. So here we go. This document’s really straightforward. Your task here, your challenge, is to create five new hooks. Now here, since you haven’t made the new hook yet, here’s what you can do to get AI. If you’re using Gemini, that’s fine. Or Grok, it doesn’t matter or ChatGPT I use ChatGPT We’ll get back to the episode in a moment.

But hi, I’m Quajo, a Facebook and Instagram ads manager since like 2019. If you don’t know me yet, it’s my desire, here on the Art of Online Business podcast that you, as a course creator or membership owner, would be able to get all the tips and tricks and strategies you need and Facebook and Instagram ad strategies you need to scale up your business from mid four to five figure months to high six figure years. You can leverage interviews of folks that I have on the podcast who are successfully running Facebook and Instagram ads in their online course or membership businesses, plus the knowledge that I share, along with my wife, jamie, about Facebook and Instagram ads, and even very easygoing dinner table type conversations around the topic For example, how to make a lead magnet that gets you leads at a low cost and makes great sales for your business where I invite people from different backgrounds who all can speak to how to do that, for example, it could be me plus a sales copywriter plus a business coach, just talking about one topic. You’ll get so much value out of this. What I ask for in return is that you actually follow or subscribe to the podcast and tell me exactly the kind of topics that I can make. That would help you out the most by responding to a 60 second survey that is in the show notes below. All right back to the episode. So here’s the prompt. We’re going to be very clear the context and the task of the prompt and why we’re doing it Right. And then we go ahead and we provide further method detail.
Speaker 1:
Now, this is key because I’m not just asking AI to do it for me blindly. I want it to learn like we would learn, and we would learn either from taking a course or watching a very informative, say, youtube video. And so I’ve had success by pasting in the transcript from a YouTube video to sort of teach AI in a chat what I needed to do. So then, separately, I say the things I’m going to give it and then I tell it to ask me for it once it’s ready. This kind of keeps AI from just jumping straight to the response, you know. So I’m going to give it the best performing ad copy for context, and I’m also asking it what type of specialist it thinks it needs to act as to get the best result. Because AI can assume many different specialist roles and give you different results based on what kind of specialist it is going to be. And, as a side note, if you want even better results, you can feed it emails, that you can feed it sales emails and tell it to learn the tone and style.
Speaker 1:
Actually, let me put that in here. I fed it some more detail. I wrote five new hooks instead of just new hooks. I also added some extra right here saying keep the ad copy exactly the same. You’ll just be changing the top one or two sentences, the hook, all right. So I’m going to hit return here and see what it says. It has responded to me in a way that lets me know it understands and it’s ready. That’s the key. Is you got to ask it, to ask you things when it’s ready, and you can even write something like explain to me back what I said in a concise way. You know. So I know that you understand Right, and so now it understands, and so I’m going to go and paste the various things that it wants and I’m going to tell it what I’m pasting each time.
Speaker 1:
So I’ve gone on YouTube and I found a video that I actually watched and I agreed. I watched this video and I agree with his framework for writing ads that attract wealth. So underneath a video most video, I think, all videos nowadays if you scroll down and expand the video description, you should see transcript and show transcript. What you want to do is right now you can’t actually copy the transcript, so you have to highlight a part of it and then scroll way down to the bottom and do a shift click to highlight everything. Copy that, and we’ll just say so. Now I told it. Here’s the YouTube video transcript. You know? Let me know. You understand what it is. Oh, and I’m going to give you an additional transcript because I just remembered we need additional transcripts.
Speaker 1:
So I hit enter, see what it says. Boom, in seconds it gets a core takeaway and I noticed that it’s taking a lot away from the rest of the video. So I say something like because I wanted to focus on just the ads portion, so I told it to just focus on one certain portion and to summarize that portion. And now it’s summarized, this ad portion, and it should tell me the next thing it wants me to paste. Ah, right, so it’s going straight to the ad copy, but I’m gonna paste another transcript. This is a video that I had watched before and I left off here at the most recent time. So I’m going to go down here and expand and then go grab the transcript and again copy that transcript, ok, and ask ChatGPT to learn from it. So I just gave it this clarification prompt and now I’ll paste the transcript.
Speaker 1:
Hit enter and see what it says. It honed in exactly on the part of the video that I had enjoyed previously, talking about the simple hook formula. So now it’s asking me the best performing ad copy. So I’m going to paste that. So I pasted the ad copy and I told it about the headline and want some information about the business.
Speaker 1:
Okay, now it summarizes, even tells me how to apply everything, and so if you don’t like what you see or if you think it needs to be tweaked, just pretend like AI is sitting next to you and you’re getting something from a human and you’re like, eh, you know, I would change this, this, this and that. Go ahead and talk to it like that. Here’s a hack. By the way, if typing is not your thing, then you can open up the exact. You know. I can open up ChatGPT on my phone and look at the same results, and then I can just talk to it by hitting the mic button on my phone here, but on my phone, and I can dictate and it can understand my natural language. Just fine, and then do the next things. And frequently, because I actually struggle at organizing my thoughts, you know, so I’ll just ramble saying what I want to say, but in the way that I naturally would try to communicate for like a minute and then chat. Gpt gives me amazing results because I set up my prompts like this hey again, quick interruption.
Speaker 1:
If you’re running ads right now and you need to learn how to systematically lower the lead cost, then you want to get my ad testing cheat code. It’s normally $37 discounted to $17 for you. Read what I just received at the time of the recording of this video right now in my Instagram DMs. It’s from a lady and she said in 2024, I was listening to Quajo’s podcast and he introduced a beta round of his new Facebook ads course. I signed up immediately because I was working with a client, through my role at Spectrum, who was going to invest more in digital ads and I wanted to make sure I was handling their investment the best I could. The results were incredible and last night I won a gold award for that ad campaign. So cool, and thank you for sharing that with me, katie and you, dear listener, I believe you deserve to get better quality leads at the lowest lead cost possible using the framework that I use in every client account. So head down to the show notes below and get that course, if you’re running ads right now, because it will help you out. I’ve seen students in the course at least the ones who have shared with me so far lower their lead costs from like down by 25% and even up to 60, 60%.
Speaker 1:
And now back to the rest of the episode. And there we go. Now we’ve got five hooks and it’s asking me questions, like if I would like a different kind of hook or maybe even AV variations to test of above, right. One more thing that I would add here is just double check hey, I can put this in my current ad copy, right? I highly encourage you to go through this process to get hooks. Yes, you could just take these hooks that I came with and now add your own voice to it, right? Like I believe in having like a human in the loop.
Speaker 1:
I never just take exactly what AI gives me and then put it in Like I always look at it, scrutinize it. Is this how I would say it? Does this sound too robotic? Like do we use other words here? Because I have a brand voice, you know, guide for my client and this sort of thing, but if you feel like these work, you could use them. I highly encourage you to go through this process yourself, because this is a process you can use over and over again for website copy, emails, instagram, like social media captions, and the thing is is you might be like that took you a long time, quajo. I could have just looked at the ad copy myself. Sure, yeah, maybe you could.
Speaker 1:
But now that you’ve trained chat GPT in this chat, it will remember everything, so you can just simply say things like based on what you just learned and did for me. Now I would like to get you know Instagram captions. What do you need to act as to write good Instagram captions for me, you know? Or you can say I need an email sequence that sells a service, and here’s an outline of the service that we offer. Can you get started writing me an email sequence and then boom, it’ll write you like and you can tell it five emails and then write you like five emails, you know like you might need a blog post or a one-off email.
Speaker 1:
Or you might say hey, this sales page isn’t converting very well and I’ve been tasked with, like updating the copy.
Speaker 1:
Can you look at the current sales page and then, based on what you learned in this chat, help me come up with some good, you know, new sales page structure or new words like so that’s the thing.
Speaker 1:
Like this is one-time work, you know, maybe it took me 10 minutes to do, but now it knows about the kind of like a bit, your business, the kind of copy you need, the kind of client you have and you can just get so much out of here to save you so much time, because it’d be a lot quicker for you to just tweak the results that it gives you for, like a five email sales sequence, or if you ask it for, to design like 10 different Instagram carousels, you know, and even give you ideas for images and pictures.
Speaker 1:
Like you can just go over those results and you’ll save tons of time on the back end. Thank you for listening to this podcast episode and, again, please take 60 to 90 seconds to go down to the show notes below and respond to the podcast survey so I can know exactly the kind of episodes I should get to work on that will help you grow your business the most. I really appreciate you and hope that you keep getting great value from the podcast. Until the next time you hear from me, take care, be blessed, and I’ll see you in the next one. Bye.
