The short answer: connections. And I am not talking about old school networking and handing out business cards. I am talking about making connections with people with sincere intentions. You should be thinking about making connections with the thought of “how can I add value to this person” with zero expectations of anything in return. Going to events is a great way to meet like-minded people. I make it a point to go to conferences and events year after year.
Another way, which is one of my favorites, is to make connections through a mastermind. This is a great way to go deep with a smaller group of people. You can bounce ideas off one another, affiliate for each other, and expand your network through each other’s connections.
